We’re proud to share that Donn Rubin, Founding President and CEO of BioSTL and Chairman of BioGenerator, has been named to the St. Louis Business 500: Leading Industries list by St. Louis Magazine, recognizing leaders shaping the region’s economic future.
For more than two decades, Donn has worked to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, research institutions, and community leaders to grow St. Louis into a globally recognized hub for bioscience innovation. Through BioSTL, that work has helped launch and support hundreds of startups, strengthen workforce pathways, and attract companies and talent to the region.
In the accompanying St. Louis Magazine Q&A, Donn reflects on the mentors who shaped his journey: William Danforth, the late Chancellor Emeritus of Washington University and BioSTL’s founding visionary, and John McDonnell, retired Chairman of McDonnell Douglas and BioSTL Board Chairman since 2011.
