Ann Guggisberg
Principal, BioGenerator Ventures
Ann was previously Director of Research at the local agtech startup Pluton Biosciences, where she was responsible for development of the research team and research functions in microbiology, molecular biology, and bioinsecticide discovery, from company founding to Series A. Ann also brings technical experience from her previous roles as an intern at Monsanto and as a postdoctoral associate at Washington University in St. Louis.
Ann holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Genomics from Washington University, where she was a Monsanto Graduate Fellow. During her thesis studies, she led projects to discover and characterize novel mechanisms of metabolic regulation and drug resistance in the parasite that causes human malaria.
Outside of the office, Ann enjoys painting, traveling, and hiking with her husband and dog.
