Courtney Shaw
Manager of Ecosystem Impact and Evaluation
Courtney joins the BioSTL team as Manager of Ecosystem Impact and Evaluation and will be a member of the St. Louis Regional Ecosystem team.
Courtney earned her Master of Public Health degree with concentrations in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Washington University in St. Louis. Throughout her studies, Courtney held research positions with the university’s Institute for Public Health and the People, Health, and Place Unit. Courtney’s research involved investigating the influence of different environmental factors on violent crimes in St. Louis as well as how spatial health equity indicators can be used to help inform research and policy. Courtney holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Previously, Courtney was at Spectrum where she worked on various billing integration and automation projects. Courtney also completed a year of service with AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps where she was deployed to work on disaster preparedness and response operations. In her free time, she enjoys taking her two dogs for a walk, playing volleyball, or listening to live music around town!
