Rachel Painter
Administrative & Program Coordinator
As Administrative & Program Coordinator for BioSTL's Global Department, Rachel supports the team’s continued growth by ensuring operations remain organized, procedural, and efficient.
Prior to BioSTL, Rachel worked for the strategic consulting firm Mazur & Co., where her project highlights included coalition facilitation, multiple St. Louis media placements, event support at press conferences and Farm Aid 40, and staffing Mayor Cara Spencer's inauguration and City Services Transition Advisory Committee. With a unique blend of admin experience and creative skills, Rachel's previous roles have ranged from content writer and editor to campus tour guide and preschool teacher. Committed to making the world a more organized (yet still fun and colorful!) place, she's passionate about project management and developing others.
Originally from Central Illinois, Rachel knows a thing or two about good work ethic, as her first job was bottle-feeding calves in subzero temps on her family's seventh generation farm. She's called Missouri home for over a decade and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Film and English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys writing, trying new restaurants and recipes, and watching movies with her husband, Andy. She also loves reading, playing piano, and dancing.
