Senior Manager of Industry Workforce Partnerships

Thi is an educator, innovator, and workforce strategist with a strong commitment to strengthening the bioscience talent ecosystem through community-centered practices. At BioSTL, Thi serves as the primary liaison to industry partners, leading employer engagement that advances apprenticeships and other earn-and-learn pathways. She works closely with employers, training providers, and community partners to align workforce demand with career exposure, talent development, and training initiatives, helping to grow the region’s bioscience economy. 

Before joining BioSTL, she contributed to scientific communities in Dallas, San Francisco, and Boston. Since relocating to Greater St. Louis, Thi has built cross-sector partnerships and led employer-driven workforce initiatives as an associate dean at Washington University’s Graduate School, a senior scientist at St. Louis Community College’s Center for Plant and Life Sciences, and a training consultant and founder of Win-Win Scientific. She is passionate about creating accessible educational tools and has co-developed resources in American Sign Language with deaf scientists.

Thi attended public schools in rural Texas, earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Biology from UT Austin, and holds a PhD in Neuroscience from UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Outside of her professional work, she supports community-led efforts in food justice and climate action. She enjoys nature walks with her family and watching movies.
