Finance Lead
Tia Newcom serves as the Finance Lead for BioSTL, bringing over 15 years of financial expertise and a deep passion for supporting mission-driven organizations. With a strong background in nonprofit financial management, Tia works closely with the leadership team to optimize financial health, ensure sustainability, and drive the organization’s strategic growth.
Tia spent nearly a decade of her career working directly for other St. Louis-based nonprofit organizations before creating her own firm to provide fractional CFO, financial, and accounting services to a variety of organizations. Her experience spans numerous sectors, including social services, education, government, agriculture, animal welfare, the arts, and veteran’s organizations. She applies this experience at BioSTL, where she is focused on strengthening the finance team and enhancing processes to further support the organization’s programs and objectives.
In her role with BioSTL, Tia oversees budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, investments, and compliance with nonprofit regulations. She partners with the executive team and Board of Trustees to ensure that resources are utilized efficiently and wisely, empowering the organization to achieve its goals and maximize its impact on the community.
